IRIS’ HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SPITE UNION WEEKEND
DELAWARE, SEPTEMBER 16-18, 2005
First to arrive was Shar on Thursday, who
managed to survive playing darts with Bo by coming out of it without getting any
holes in her face... lol
Camera shy Carol intending to hide from all
cameras, not realizing that there would be 500 pictures taken of her anyway
during the Union ... lol
The question and answer period with Mari on
Friday night, where everyone got out of their systems their problems with their
computers and with Spite. Mari began wondering why she came here in the first
place...
The last night for Bo, Jane, Robyn and who
knows who else, was spent awake in Josie’s room because they had been thrown out
of the pool area.
The 2 times (we were only there two
nights) that security came to throw us all out of the pool because the guests of
the hotel needed some sleep… lmao
Bo’s face when she received her new Dell,
after she thought that her present was just the collage of pictures. Yes, Bo
cried and so did we... an emotional moment there…
Iris giving all these people Salsa lessons
and not one of them getting it right, so she finally had to dance with Bibi so
they could watch.
The discovery of our new singing stars, Josie
and Vicki and Bo -- what a concert!
Alice looking for her oxygen tank to see if
it would help her win the tourney but realizing everybody had already found out
that she was not Bo’s grandmother, she was not 96, and she does not use oxygen
except in normal air for breathing... lol
Holly trying to organize the tours of the
group so we could learn some history and discovering that everybody just wanted
to hang out and drink. What an uneducated group Holly! lol
Alice riding in the Jag (that Holly rented)
and having to hold the front door that somehow got broken while they were down
at the mall…and Holly trying to go slow on the EXPRESSWAY… lol
Janny’s happy face (and glowing complexion)
all through the weekend and everyone wondering why she was so happy, we still
are… lol
Finding out Shar was the aunt of the most
famous Canadian, yes, Michael J Fox.
Val’s face when trying to win her game
against Alice and not being able to get the right cards, and ending up playing
the longest game in history... (yawn)
Miss Vicki’s face when she realized she had
beaten Jane in the first round…
Robyn’s face when she got the Don Q rum from
Iris (a longtime dream she had) and quietly having it with Coke in a corner of
Josie’s room so no one would ask her to share her bottle.
Jane and her T-shirts, which are such a
beautiful remembrance of our Union and trying to get people to PAYYYYYY……LOL
Brenda going around hugging everyone thinking
it all might be a dream and not really being there.
Everybody on the first day trying to figure
out who was who and guessing most of the time and lol... being right!
Mari’s car license plate... yes, it says
SPITENET!
All the happy faces when we arrived, the
loving hugs, the wonderful dancing, the wonderful playing, the wonderful singing
(those that did), the stories, the joke telling, and last of all… the very sad
faces when we were leaving.
WHAT A WONDERFUL, LOVING AND REALLY AWESOME WEEKEND, LET’S DO IT AGAIN NEXT YEAR!
Iris' guapo
husband, who was nice enough to model
the Union t-shirt she brought home for him.
