Convicted hackers, Mari and Janne, began their life sentence today as the first inmates at Långholmen to be given a co-ed cell. In a landmark move by the Swedish justice system, this experimental program hopes to rehabilitate criminals by treating them as welcomed guests rather than unwanted members of society. Prison officials gave an elaborate reception for the newly weds permitting them to exchange prison stripes for proper wedding attire. A select group of their fellow inmates were allowed to attend and provided dress clothing courtesy of the Salvation Army.
