Excalibur and Canela
We've
been abducted, err... I mean adopted.
Mari feels terrible about having left us behind. Sweden has very strict
laws regarding animals immigrating there (she's having enough trouble as
a human).
I (Excalibur - on the left) am 6 years old and Canela is 3.
I am way cool, well trained, do tricks, am bilingual Spanish/English,
have 6 toes on each foot, and have all the advantages of a dog without
having to walk me in the rain.
Canela is strictly ornamental.
I, Excalibur, do not intend to take this situation laying down.
I have begun an email writing campaign to the Swedish Consulate in NYC
in protest. I have led a good, clean life and have always practiced
safe sex (neutering helped), and I feel that a 4 month quarantine and a
$3,000 boarding fee is beyond both my wallet and my patience. Although
Mari is heartbroken at the thought of losing her sidekick, she believes
that such action might jeopardize her own application for residency in
Sweden. She also regrets having given me a copy of "Internet for
Cats" (by Judy Heim, No Starch Press, nostarch@ix.netcom.com) and is getting
tired of using ALT keys since her mouse mysteriously disappeared.
